Feasibility study, design and installation
This initial phase, carried out in collaboration with Val-Mar, ensures that your custom project’s plans are designed according to your previously defined wishes and specifications, using the most appropriate technical solutions while complying with your municipality’s regulations and taking into account any constraints on your property. The end product is a custom pool – your pool.
The installation of your pool should be studied taking into account several criteria: soil quality, sunshine, prevailing winds, plant environment, privacy in relation to the neighborhood, but also the location of the filtration equipment, to ensure that we enhance the value of your home and your environment by attempting to create a harmonious and aesthetic integration.
Approval of the installation plan and the pool’s finishes
Val-Mar will provide you with the full range of choices of colours, materials and finishes…you will also have to approve the swimming pool’s final installation.
Concrete swimming pool construction phases
Our construction professionals are highly qualified and trained to complete your concrete pool construction project.
- A permit must be obtained from your municipality before the any work can begin.
- Info-Excavation must be contacted at 1-800-663-9228 or : info-ex.com to ensure that excavation on your property is permitted.
- Provide for outdoor electricity for the beginning of work
- If necessary, provide for connection to domestic water for automatic refill
- Provide for a temporary fence with pickets at every 5 feet (which can be installed by Val-Mar)
- Ensure that construction plan is approved in writing
- Your bullnose, ceramic and interior pool finish must be chosen

Mechanical equipment
Mechanical equipment should not be neglected when building an in-ground, concrete pool. At Val-Mar this equipment meets the highest standards of excellence.
Val-Mar provides manometers, flow meters and thermometers along with the mechanical equipment. All of these instruments are needed to monitor the system components’ performance. That’s what we call peace of mind.
